Colorado Instruments, Inc. is a Registered Colorado Corporation, doing business as (DBA) SOLARWORLD® and Solarts®.  We manufacture a wide variety of solar (photovoltaic) powered products for educational, consumer, electronic and custom OEM markets.  Manufacturing of our Solarts® solar powered executive gifts and solar panels began in 1978.

Solar World® owns a 5000 square foot manufacturing facility in Colorado Springs.  Our solar products are proudly "Made in the USA" by 18 dedicated employees.

The majority of our solar panels and solar battery chargers are made using Mono or Single-Crystal Silicon solar cells, many of which are Space Satellite grade, (the most efficient solar cells on the market).  Solar World is a distributor of Power Film® flexible plastic amorphous silicon solar modules for ultra thin and light-weight applications.

Solar World® manufactures over 80 standard solar products, and currently over 40 products for custom/OEM customers (we worked with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to develop prototype solar arrays for the Mars Sojourner rover).

Solar World® is a stocking distributor for Mighty Mule® E-Z Gate solar powered automatic gate openers since 2001.
